In an exciting whitewater double header, the Kern River Alliance hosted the 2000 Texaco Whitewater Slalom National Championships and the 2000 A.C.A. Wildwater National Championships, August 18-20, 2000, at Miracle Hot Springs, California. The Nationals was the final race in our U.S. Whitewater Slalom Olympic Team's preparation for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. The team has a real chance to be in the medals.
