River Running Classifications are subjective and will not apply to all individuals or all river conditions. These classifications are intended to reflect a boat's river running characteristics when paddled by a boater within the weight range recommended by the manufacturer; on a river run that is within the skills and experience of the paddler; at a normal flow for the river. These classifications are subjective and your assessment could easily be different. Characteristics considered include maneuverability, responsiveness, predictability, how forgiving the boat is, its max speed, and acceleration.
