Enjoy a fun 3-4 hours of down river freestyle on the Kern River, as you learn new maneuvers and improve your technique.
Down River Freestyle Kayaking Half Day
Glide across the eddy line, drive the stern down into the water, and … BANG, you’re looking at sky and pinging the redline on the fun meter. Welcome to the world of down river freestyle. Use the hot new boat of your choice, like the Jackson Kayak Antix or the Pyranha Ripper. You’ll learn maneuvers such as stern squirts, splats, kick flips, and wave wheels. After paddling with our instructors on the Kern, you’ll be trying things in class III water you never dreamed possible.
