Kern River Hot Springs

Everyone loves to sit back, relax, and enjoy beautiful views after a day of rafting right? Visiting one of the hot springs on the Kern River is the perfect way to accomplish all three of those things. All public hot springs in the area are located on the Lower Kern River roughly 17 miles from Kernville. The natural hot tubs sit on the bank of the river with beautiful views during the day and incredible star gazing at night. The pools are well maintained, kept clean, and open for year-round visiting with the spring and summer being the busiest months. Campgrounds are close by if you are looking to soak for multiple days.

Miracle Hot Springs – Closed as of 11/4/22

Miracle Hot Springs are located on the Lower Kern River and are accessible by car via Kern Canyon Road. The short trail to these public hot springs begins at Hobo Campground, which is easily visible from the road. A short five-minute hike leads you to an abundance of pools with a stellar view of the river. The pools are oriented to have varying temperatures based on the proximity to the source. Please be a good user and pack out any trash and avoid bringing glass to the pools. Directions to Miracle Hot Springs
