The Lower Kern Full Day Class IV river trip is an exhilarating white water adventure which winds down narrow, rocky canyons, twists around giant boulders and charges through tight gorges.

Choosing a full day of Whitewater Rafting on the Lower Kern River is the best way to experience the robust rapids and awesome scenery. Any nerves you may have will slip away as the guides teach you the skills needed to thrive in this fast paced environment. 13 miles, 8 Class IV rapids, dozens of class III, endless pools to swim in, the perfect jump rock, and a fully catered lunch; is there a better way to spend a warm California day? We don’t think so! And any section that is a favorite of the guides is guaranteed to be a fun day for everyone. 

Schedule & Duration

  • 6-8 hours
  • Months of operation: May – September
  • Trip Arrival Time: 8:00 am.
  • Trip Departure Time: 8:30 am.
  • We suggest you arrive at the store 30-45 minutes prior to the trip departure time. This will allow sufficient time to check-in and change into wetsuits if needed or required. Our trips must leave on schedule. Don’t miss the boat!

  • Minimums: Age: 12 Weight: 50lbs (We may weigh small children)
  • High Water Protocol Minimum: Age: 14
  • Maximum Weight: 300lbs
  • All trips require a minimum number of 6 guests. If participant numbers are not met we will notify you and provide various options for your trip to go.
  • Please wear shoes that will stay on your feet in the water. No flip-flops or bare feet. You must wear tennis shoes, water shoes, or sandals that have a heel strap.

All of our trips may be adjusted based on water levels and/or other conditions.

Additional Information

  • Hearty Deli-style lunch provided.
  • Price does not include gratuity, so if you like the ride…it’s ok to tip your guide!
