The Lower Kern Half Day Class II-III includes fun, splashy rapids, beautiful scenery, wildlife, jump rocks and plenty of opportunities to cool off with a dip in the water. No experience necessary!

Lower Kern Half-Day Class II-III

The Lower Kern Half-Day Class II-III includes fun, splashy rapids with beautiful scenery. Cool off in the many pools in-between rapids and challenge yourself to an exciting cliff jump! This trip is the perfect introduction to rafting for both adults and children. No experience necessary! Trip is approximately 4 continuous river miles. We offer two departure times for this trip. 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Schedule & Duration

  • 3-4 hours
  • Months of operation: April – September
  • Trip Arrival Time: 10:30am & 2:30pm.
  • Trip Departure Time: 11:00am & 3:00pm.
  • We suggest you arrive at the store 30-45 minutes prior to the trip departure time. This will allow sufficient time to check-in and change into wetsuits if needed or required. Our trips must leave on schedule. Don’t miss the boat!


  • Minimums: Age: 8 Weight: 50lbs (We may weigh small children)
  • High Water Protocol Minimum: Age: 12
  • Maximum Weight: 300lbs
  • All trips require a minimum number of 4  guests. If participant numbers are not met we will notify you and provide various options for your trip to go.
  • Please wear shoes that will stay on your feet in the water. No flip-flops or bare feet. You must wear tennis shoes, water shoes, or sandals that have a heel strap.

All of our trips may be adjusted based on water levels and/or other conditions.

Additional Information:

• Our trips leave on schedule.
• Price does not include gratuity, so if you like the ride…it’s ok to tip your guide! Most guests leave between a 15 and 20 percent tip.
