Want something a bit more challenging? Try an Upper Kern Half-Day Class IV raft trip and see what class III-IV whitewater is all about! With easy road access and multiple put-in options, we pick and choose the best sections of the river to run. All class IV whitewater rafting trips start on the class II-III section of the Kern River to better gauge the group’s paddling strength before heading to the Class IV sections of the river. Three daily departures give you the advantage of rafting on your schedule, leaving time to explore more of Kernville.

Requirements
Must be at least 12 years old
Must weigh between 90 – 275 lbs.
Appropriate footwear: Tennis shoes, water shoes, or sandals with heel strap. NO FLIP-FLOPS OR BARE FEET!

Water bottle – hydration is essential
Hat – a baseball hat, visor
Sunblock
A smile and a good attitude
NO CELL PHONES OR ANY VALUABLES
NO CAR KEYS – You can leave your keys with our store staff in the retail shop
